Marriage rituals among the Reang tribe reflect their traditional customs and deep-rooted social structures. The community follows endogamous marriage practices, meaning that marriages typically occur within the same clan. However, in recent times, inter-community marriages have become more common. Marriage arrangements are often made with the approval of family elders, and the ceremonies involve communal participation.

The presence of rice beer, known as arraq or chow-arraq, is a significant aspect of wedding celebrations, symbolizing joy and social bonding. The couple, along with their families, partakes in traditional feasts that include rice, pulses, meat, fish, and bamboo shoots, reflecting the tribe’s staple diet. The Reang community values social harmony, and marriage is considered an essential institution for maintaining clan identity. While divorce is allowed, it must be sanctioned by the Village Council, which plays a crucial role in resolving marital disputes.

Despite modern influences, many Reang still uphold their traditional marriage customs, blending them with contemporary practices. With the transition of their lifestyle and growing participation in economic activities like rubber cultivation and government jobs, their marriage traditions continue to evolve while retaining their cultural essence.
