Gaduli Susun is a very revered dance belonging to the Korku tribe. Tribal Korku dances are an integral part of their culture and are performed throughout the year at different functions and festivities. As the central attraction for special Kakan weddings, Gaduli Susun dance is conducted round the clock. The people of Korku also feature this ancient dance as they journey from village to village for five days during the festival of Holi to be blessed for Phagwa.
In addition, the Dhasesh Sanas also dance the Gaduli Susun dance at Kakan vigils in front of Guthwa Deva throughout the night. It is an essential part of any annual festival, ritual, or cultural function among the Korku community. For instance, this dance is regularly done during Bhavai, Jiroti, Pola, Holi, and wedding celebrations. Gaduli Susun is essentially a part of Korku culture, representing unity, tradition, and celebration.
Men dress in a white coloured dhoti, shirt and Orange or red coloured turban. Women - Sarees are dressed according to preference. They also adorn jewelery such as tagli, bakdya, tedya, chhagni, pole, Jumka, aade, champa, jhumka-bali, chhalla, nathani etc. Music and Instruments like Dhol, Pavi (flute), Chanka, Ghunghak, Thapti etc. instruments are played while doing Gaduli susun dance.
