Wooden skulls and horns have, by their nature, also represented in the community symbolizing headhunting traditions that would have formed part of the Naga warrior culture. This could be charms or in remembrance or merely representation of status among the people. Together, this set of artifacts epitomizes the artisanship of the Naga people, who have gained considerable fame in elaborate wood carving and cane weaving, and the symbolic expressions in tribal artifacts. That is another level, where we have to see the importance of these sculptures that are cultural symbols and preservation of intangible heritage and storytelling through material objects. Currently, these serve as educational objects within museums and tribal heritage centers, thereby presenting the rich history of Nagaland's indigenous people.
