A fine example of this heritage is the cotton cloth wrapper, which is one of the important farming wear in both daily and ceremonial usages of the Naga tribe. Handspun, handwoven cotton cloth with the dominant red color symbolizes life and power in several Naga traditions. Black horizontal stripes run throughout the body of the fabric, creating a fantastic contrast and rhythmical visual pattern. Some white stripes are placed at the center to break the symmetry and increase the aesthetic balance in the design

Two rows of square-shaped woven designs are found along the edges, which are ornamental and carry symbolic meaning. These geometric motifs may depict tribal insignia or derive their inspiration from nature and local legends. Several pieces of cloth, four or more, will be stitched together to meet the required length, a practice that dishonors most traditional loom widths and the joining of handwoven fabrics of a lesser width. The fringes at both ends in cotton threads add textural interest and continue the traditional mode of finishing. When wrapped around the body, the freshness and functional qualities of the cloth contrast with the richness of the Naga tribe's culture and identity
