short description
Originating from Rabha tribes in Assam , this bamboo bottle is a prestigious example of sustainable craftsmanship and innovative use of local resources. The body of the bottle is purely made of bamboo with a cylindrical shape and with its upper and lower ends being naturally sealed by bamboo nodes so that it does not leak.A small hole is carved at the top of the bamboo forming the mouth of the bottle. The mouth is nicely closed with a wooden stop cork that prevents spillage and keeps the bottle mouth hygienic. Another jute rope tie connects the cork with the bottle so that the stopper stays connected with the vessel and does not get misplaced in use.

Traditionally, this bottle was used to carry water or homemade herbal drinks while traveling or for fieldwork. The bamboo is chosen as it gives very good insulation and keeps the contents cool which is ideal for the humid warm climate of the region.
