A very particular part of the decorative embellishment of Abor tobacco pipe is winding cane strips around the smoking end. This very much helps in beautifying the piece as well as beautifying the detailing of work and artisanship of the tribe. The other act of decoration would clearly stand out in contrast in functionality by adding some memory of cultural importance to this pipe. The tobacco pipe is an important part of Abor social life and thus features in communal gatherings and social ritual events. It is a welcome indication and token of brotherly love often going from one member to another in social gatherings. This tobacco pipe is a fine example of the handy work of the tribe. It comprises utility with art.
