The Naga Tribes of Northeast India have long been classified as people who have continued the warrior spirit, and being experts in weapons craftsmanship is a part of this very spirit. The bamboo-ironed spear is one such equipment that has its very use and emblematic aspect, representing a very essence of tribal culture.

This spear has long cylindrical, almost solid bamboo shafts that guarantee strength and flexibility-making. The Naga warriors honored the spear as a weapon of warfare and a mark of honor and distinction (Hutton, 1921; Ao, 2002).
