description
Along the inside bottom edge is a thick stripe of colored canvas with a diamond pattern that exhibits the great craftsmanship of the tribe. Two straps are attached to the garment, allowing the garment to be nicely tied on the wearer. The ventral side of the jacket is done with yellow and white diamond patterns further, embellished with yellow horizontal stripes, which correspond pleasingly with the designs of the lower part.
This jacket, like any other unique article, is regarded as an identity and cultural heritage of the Adi tribe. The usage of handwoven textiles and traditional symbols reflects the tribe's history of being bound into their environment and weaving skills that have been passed down through many generations.
