This attire not only enhances the visual appeal of the dance but also signifies the importance of tradition and the community’s connection to their heritage during festive occasions. The Dovlu Dance is performed during significant religious festivals like Devuthi Agiyaras and the worship of village deities such as Dungardev and Bhavani Mata. These events, celebrated post-Diwali in the month of Kartak, foster community participation and reinforce social bonds. The dance is inclusive, welcoming all village members to join in.
