Great Andamanese Tribe
description
The Great Andamanese tribe actually belongs to Central Africa and migrated to the Andaman Islands more than 60,000 years before assuming their current home. One of the last few Negrito tribes with a past full of battles against colonizers, such as in the "Battle of Aberdeen," the Great Andamanese people kept their cultural identity intact through things such as the Bomu Dance, where they still have age-old customs in respect to lineage and demonstrate surviving change

Costume and Jewellery
description
Before the actual Bomu Dance performance, women plaster male dancers with shells and clay tattoos of intricate designs, all bearing the event's traditional essence. That signifies unity and respect to tribal traditions, and shells refer to the Andamanese's island life. Such similar decorations are beautifying female dancers who participate with men in the ritual and strengthen the community's shared cultural contributions. Such influences depict how closely nature and the Great Andamanese are linked with the integration of artistic and symbolic purity into their clothes
