Costumes and ornaments of Hojagiri Dance, which show a profile of the Reang (Bru) tribe, are traditional as well as spectacular. The female dancers wear "rignai", a colorful, handwoven wrap-around skirt, along with a "risa" for covering the upper body. They are mostly decorated with very fine patterns that indicate the craftsmanship of the tribe.
Jewelry enhances the appearance of the dancers by silver ornamentation such as chains, bangles, earrings, and nose rings, while anklets add sound rhythms to them as they act in fluid and smooth movements of Hojagiri.

Music acts as magic in intensifying the energization and emotion of this beautiful performance of the Hojagiri dance. The "Kham", the traditional drum, forms the percussive backbone of the performance to lift the dance, while giving rise to streamers connected with the melodies of the "Sumui", a bamboo flute. Not only will the deep beats incite the energetic mobility of the dancers, combined with the soothing flowing melodies through the usage of the two instruments, a harmonious chord of rhythm and melody is created, replete with an atmosphere that captivates the audience

Moreover, the Hojagiri dance employs traditional instruments to enhance its otherwise animated dance performances. The Kham, a large drum, serves as the primary percussion instrument: it therefore provides a powerful rhythmic backbone that energizes the dancers. The other interesting musical feature is the Sumui, which is a bamboo flute; this adds fullness and contrast to the deep beats of the Kham. There may also be other percussion instruments enlisted to enrich this rhythmic ganokandh pattern. Together, they all create a loud, vibrant soundscape to support dancers elevating culture and the identity of the Hojagiri dance
