The Khampti people are the very original inhabitants of Arunachal Pradesh (Northeast India) and very distinct with their special traditional costumes. One such unique garment is the sleeveless jacket made of cotton, one of the few and favorite garments of Khampti women. This sleeveless jacket is crafted from cotton, the lightest and most porous material that can keep one so cool in the most humid environment. Dominated by vertical striking blue and white stripes running all along the fabric, it creates visual interest.
