short description
Firstly, the Chakar-Ghanta is a wooden stick made in the customary manner of the Rabha tribe for stirring the mixture during the production of country liquor. Traditionally, it is a single piece of wood, flat on the working edge and with a handle at an obtuse angle to it. This makes it possible to maintain ergonomics while stirring since it can be used to effectively mix up ingredients into deep containers. The handle of the rod is not purely functional, but also highlighted by carved motifs symbolizing the inherent artistry of a tribe even on utilitarian objects; these carvings may as well carry symbolic meanings or deliver a better grip while using it.

Most traditional societies, such as the Rabha community, are endowed with tools and instruments they make with regard to culture; one best sample for that is the Chakar-Ghanta. It is most relevant when the concoction is fermenting or being cooked to finalize the preparation of country liquor in ensuring both consistency and quality.
