It is a Phom Naga Tribe iron spear, originating from Longleng district, Nagaland. This iron spear serves as a practical weapon, yet richer than that, it stands ceremonial and reminder to the warriors. The warrior's spear is traditionally made with wood for the shaft and iron for the blade, shaped like a leaf-a sand effective stylish. Broad, leaflike blade allows for a straight, strong, piercing strike, and it is traditionally meant for hunting as well as fighting long ago. What makes this blade unique is the hole formed at the lower portion, where the wooden shaft is inserted and securely fastened. This structural design ensures stability along with being a reflection of their advanced metalworking skills, which has no comparative skills found in other tribes.

Besides being ceremonial, the spear further is beautified with red and black hair, which is traditionally goat hair, wrapped around the shaft, near the blade. Red symbolizes power and courage, while black indicates strength and endurance. As an ornament, it adorns the scene in festivals and tribal things. Currently, the iron spear is flaunted for traditional functions such as Monyu, the spring festival of Phom. It represents honor among men in full warrior presence, ancestral courage, and tribal roots.
