short description
Gunsur Malias tribesmen are very much involved with striking cultural practices and art. Apparently, that is why they have developed functional jewellery in a spectacular manner. One of the ornaments they wear and is so appealing is the Tudinga, which is an iconic ornament made in a circular shape out of lead. Apart from being made of lead, it could also be distinct from the design elements that truly reflect the craftsmanship and aesthetic values of the entire tribe.

description
Gunsur Malias tribesmen are very much involved with striking cultural practices and art. Apparently, that is why they have developed functional jewellery in a spectacular manner. One of the ornaments they wear and is so appealing is the Tudinga, which is an iconic ornament made in a circular shape out of lead. Apart from being made of lead, it could also be distinct from the design elements that truly reflect the craftsmanship and aesthetic values of the entire tribe.
The surface of the Tudinga is engraved with designs, which may also pursue abstract patterns or nature-inspired motifs, indicating the skills of the tribe in metalworking. Another sometimes very special aspect of this bangle line is the gap that is left on its surface and makes the design quite exciting. There are two pointed bulbous head-like structures placed on either side of this gap with such beauty and added meaning suggested. The nature of the material- lead in this case- which is often encountered in jewellery from Gunsur Malias is that these can be functional and spiritual. Such bangles are often donned by the tribe during rituals, festivals, and public gatherings. Thus, the Tudinga ornament is more than an ornament; it signifies cultural pride, identity, and connection to ancestry.
