Among the Santhal people, traditionally hunting was of prime importance not only in terms of its subsistence but through social life and rituals. Bows and arrows are often seen in folk dances, festivals, and community games, thus denoting their valued role in the Santhal culture. Although traditional weapons were entirely replaced by modern ones, still these handcrafted arrows symbolize the resilience, crafts, and harmonious relationship with nature that define the Santhal tribe.
