This is an exquisite, detailed clay model in terracotta form of a male Nyishi (Dafla) tribal from Arunachal Pradesh. The Nyishi-itself, one of the largest and most culturally diverse tribal populations in the state-also relates to rich heritage as to what she wears in terms of attire and accessories. Standing on a pedestal, he wears clothes that are symbolic yet functional.
